The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The Award is open to current and recent design engineering students. It’s run by the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson’s charitable trust, as part of its mission to get young people excited about design engineering.
All entrants are required to provide documentation of their student or alumni status. Acceptable documentation includes: transcript, dated schedule of classes, grade report, signed and dated letter from a professor or dean, or a degree certificate. You will be required to provide this documentation during the registration process and can upload a PDF, JPEG or MS Word document.
Prizes include:
International Winner:$45,000 to the student or student team
$7,500 to the student(s)’ university department
James Dyson Award certificate
International Runners-Up (up to two):
$7,500 to the student or student team
James Dyson Award certificate
National Winner (one from each region):
$3,500 to the student or student team
James Dyson Award certificate
National Finalists (up to four from each region):
James Dyson Award certificate
