Win amazing Cash Prize on a Climate Change Scriptwriting Contest (Philippines)

Calling all Philippine scriptwriters! The Film Development Council of the Philippines presents the “Climate Change Scriptwriting Contest.” Scriptwriters are called to submit entries, focusing on aspects of climate change, for either:

A) short feature script

or

B) full length documentary script

          The deadline for submissions will be on December 19, 2014.

        The contest encourages writers to delve into the ever-growing and concerning topic of climate change which, with recent catastrophic storms in the country, has its presence felt more than ever.

         Winners of the contest will be decided on by two separate competition committee juries, one jury for each category. The two panels of jurors will be announced after submissions have been sent, and then proceed to appropriately convene and select the winners for both categories, from all the submitted screenplays accordingly through meritorious process.

           Winners shall be announced in January, 2015.

The winners of the short feature script category will receive a prize of:

1^st place: Php 50,000

2^nd place: Php 25,000

3^rd place: Php 10,000. 

       The winners of the full length documentary script category will receive a prize of:

1^st place: Php 100,000

2^nd place: Php 50,000

3^rd place: Php 25,000

         Once the winning scripts have been chosen, the FDCP shall then help produce the winning entries into either a short feature (10 to 20 mins. in length) or a full length documentary (at least 40 mins. in length).

         The FDCP will have the six winning scripts’ produced short feature or full length documentary be shown during the World Premieres Film Festival Philippines to be held in June of 2015.

         The forms must be duly accomplished and submitted with the completed screenplay entry. Forms may sent online to script@fdcp.ph or brought to the FDCP offices (26th floor Export Bank Plaza, Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. cor. Chino Roces Ave., Makati City).

         No more than one entry will be accepted from each scriptwriter. No entry shall be accepted beyond the deadline on December 19, 2014, at 5:00pm.
