The Manila Archdiocesan Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church (MACC) will be holding its 8th annual painting competition from October 2014 to December 2014.
MACC invites all qualified participants to work on any religious theme. Artists are asked to work on any subject that is related to the Catholic faith. The contest is open to Filipino students and out-of-school youths, ages 15 to 25 years old. The contest hopes to foster contemporary artistic interpretations of the Catholic faith particularly among young artists, and seeks to promote awareness and appreciation of religious art.
Cash awards for the winners shall be:
1st Prize – PhP 40,000.002nd Prize – PhP 30,000.003rd Prize – PhP 20,000.00Three (3) Jurors’ Choices – PhP 10,000.00 each
Submission of artwork entries is on December 18, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Museo ng Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila, 3/F Arzobispado de Manila, 121 Arzobispo Street, Intramuros, Manila. Awarding of winners will be announced at a later date.
