Valeo Innovation Challenge 2018 – Student Competition

Valeo launches its 5th Innovation Challenge, offering students and their academic teachers the opportunity to become players in automotive innovation. Students from all parts of the world are invited to pitch new solutions in one of three categories: powertrain electrification, autonomous vehicles and digital mobility. A total of 200,000 Euro will be awarded to the top three selected projects.

The aim of the competition is to reward an innovative project, whether it is a technological innovation or an idea for new ways to use cars. It is open to post-baccalaureate students worldwide in higher education from all disciplines and to the teachers, one per team.

Mittelmoda is coming back for the 24th year! If you are into fashion design this is your chance to shine! Mittelmoda is calling out for the 2017 edition of the most international fashion design contest ever. This is open to students who are in the last year at college (undergraduate and post-graduate level) who will graduate (or get a Diploma) in 2017 as fashion designers, as well as young fashion designers either graduates of Fashion Colleges or in their early career – in house or self-employed. Selected candidates will be invited to take part in the finals and will be asked to create their collections (Outfits + Accessories) to be shown on Mittelmoda’s catwalk in a collective fashion show (date and place to be confirmed). The Most Experimental Collection and the Most Creative Collection will be awarded with cash prizes. Several Special Awards will be announced as well. World of 7 Billion Student Video Contest 2016-2017

Create a short video – up to 60 seconds – about human population growth that highlights one of the following global challenges: Climate Change, Ocean Health, or Rapid Urbanization. All videos must include:

a) how population growth impacts the issue and
b) at least one idea for a sustainable solution.
Consider narrowing your focus by concentrating on a subtheme within your topic. Possible subthemes include:

• Climate Change – weather events and patterns, impact on
  agriculture, impact on coastal cities, human health, ecosystem disruption
• Ocean Health – overfishing, coral bleaching, climate regulation, habitat loss, pollution, dead zones

Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation’s Science without Borders® Challenge is an international art competition that engages students to promote the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources.

The Science without Borders® Challenge was created to get students and teachers interested in ocean conservation through various forms of art. This annual contest inspires students to be creative while learning about important ocean conservation issues. The SWB Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students 11-19 years old, with scholarships of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries.

The theme for the 2017 Science without Borders® Challenge is “Reef SuperSpecies.”

For this year’s Challenge, use your imagination to create a piece of art that illustrates a made-up Reef SuperSpecies. A Reef SuperSpecies is an organism (plant or animal) that has found a way to adapt to a deadly threat facing coral reef ecosystems. You can make up an organism or base your organism off of an already existing reef organism. The Plakart Association of Graphic Designers has announced and opened its 9th International Student Poster Competition (ISPC) on the theme “Identity in Crisis“. This year the organizers are putting an emphasis on the issue of the identity, which in the face of the world’s events is vigilant and essential topic.

ISPC, Skopje 2016 will awardtwo equal prizes to two poster winners. Both winners will be invited to be part of the jury for the next edition of ISPC, will exhibit at the Museum of City of Skopje during the Skopje Poster Festival 2017 and will receive an ICOGRADA certificate.
